Indifferent to the magical world (indeed, why would he feel any other way) and very hostile towards Dumbledore (again, very understandable). His anger at Voldemort is lessened since he has made peace with himself and his place in life - at least, until Dumbledore destroyed it. Time for DD to learn "As ye sow, so shall ye reap". As for Snape, I see him as largely impotent. Fail him in a class he has no use for? Take away points that Harry doesn't care about? And if he gives detentions, would Harry bother to go?
And you have Harry willing to recruit allies, if not friends.
I liked you interaction between Voldemart and Harry, and look forward to seeing how Harry interacts with Hermione.Elementary Calculations

Review chapter 8:
Nice chapter however I'll note i have quite a bit of difficulty believing in Snape as a loyal anything.
I liked Voledmort and Harry's meeting although there wasn't nearly enough described to have them talking for an hour. I was surprised Harry didn't point out that even if he did have "the power to vanquish the dark lord" that didn't mean he was obligated to use it.

I truly enjoy stories where Harry thinks and acts for himself. I don't know about you, but I had very definite ideas of how I wanted my life to be at age 11 and did what I could to learn what I needed to have those things happen. This story is shaping up nicely, I like Harry making friends with Padma and Su Li and hope that he adds Hermione to that circle in the near future. I think that Harry and Hermione have always been good for each other and I believe that the could be good friends and tempering influences within the framework of your story as well.Elementary Calculations

Ah, a logical Harry when dealing with his parents death via LV. Loved the accord and telling him to burn the magical world. Can't wait for Snape's confrontation. And finally a smart Harry who would complain about a teacher abusing their power to his head of house...amazing...you know I don't think I've ever run into that before.Elementary Calculations

Harry is smart, savvy and sane. I love it. He's acting a little too mature, but I wouldn't change a thing - it's too much fun watching him handle all the "adults" in range.Elementary Calculations

That's the most logical conversation I've ever seen Harry have with Voldemort.

I really like your story so far.
The conversation between Harry and Quirrelmort is amongst the best I've ever read.
Just an idea, you've likely tought of it on your own:
If Harry EVER develops enough interest to build a society (maybe an academic exercise?) they could agree that Voldemort can get all the purebloods, while Harry takes all the muggleborn and squibs. They mutually hide the agreement and other society from their people respectively. (Maybe a nice showdown, killing Dumbles stunning everyone and memory charming everyone to think their side won and noone from the other side survived?)
Looking forward to more goodiness.
