Hey nice parts with dobby and winky and tootie too! also dumbydork sadly there are people like that in the real world so it seems, but sometimes they forget that a bullet will still take them down if need be....and I for one think someone ought to put a bullet into dumbydork head....
I cant remember exactly but when harry defeated dumby with his lightsaber doesnt that mean that he is now the master of the elder wand, or is that wand even in this story???Author's response
Since Dobby and Winky are integral parts of this story and I have another attack on Bones planned, I needed the emergency escape unit ready and available. 'Sides, Tootles is sooo cuuuttteee!
Funny you shoudl mention bullets...
I have Dumbledore's defeat all planed out. (Evil chuckle!)
God no! The Hallows were as stupid a plot device as the horcruxes, and with less preparation. Had Rowling included anything on them instead of just springing them on us they would be more acceptable, as is, they're three power gems for the pac-man to pick up. Suffice it to say, there will be no horcruxes, and definitely no Hallows in this story.

Uncle Albie is not going to be in a good mood as things seem to keep staying -just- out of his reach; 'tis amazing what one can do with good knowledge, ability, and the Force. I love the way Harry's "team" is working together while Albus has no idea that there's even a coalition against him; it should be quite amusing when the entire block controlled by Harry's team votes en masse for things that cause Dumbles much, much heartburn. Severus getting sprung didn't surprise me and the attack on 4 Privet Drive is going to make Harry look rather good to Vernon when he hands him the insurance check (though it might well be a check actually from Harry's private funds). It appears that Harry is very definitely getting in the very good graces of the goblins for all he's done and helped them with; Albus should be worried about that combined effort; as he no doubt will be, shortly, when that audit starts. Looking ahead, it's going to be right interesting to see Dumbles' reaction when Harry & friends don't return to Hogwarts and he can't find them due to the protections on Potter Castle.
I'll definitely post more after a couple more readings, but this one was a fun read after a long day.Author's response
Let's just say Albie's year is going to start bad and get worse. Harry's actions are going to be just this side of legal, and with his crony's Dumbley is going to be meeting inconveniences at every turn.
Parts of Harry's mistreatment are going to be made public, and the blame is going to be laid entirely at Dumbledore's feet. Dumbledore is going to have a very hard time trying to explain why he took the actions he did.
While Dumbledore lost his temper and throttled the editor, he's going to have to deal with the Quibbler and Ms. Skeeter, as reprinted by The Prophet and several french papers. Remember previously, Harry asked Carolyn to get him a controlling interest in the Prophet? That interest will be arriving a little after the school year begins.
Don't worry. Mayble will be safely abroad.
Sorry. No cheque for Vernon. As Harry said in chapter 7, he wants to watch Vernon lose everything before he self-destructs. He's going to plant some evidence with the help of the goblins as to a new insurance policy taken out just before the house burns down, and coincidentally just as the Dursleys are in Majorca. And that's just the first blow! (REALLY Evil chuckle!)
Harry is now the goblin's favorite human. After all, gold is gold, and he's shown himself as a goblin.
Albie isn't gonna learn about the audit until just after he's slapped down in the Wizeacregamot, but after that he's gonna need a whole lot of Maalox!
Return to Hoggy's. All I can say is "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
I'm glad it took the edge off.

Hmmmm...... here's hoping that Dumbles finds that all the lemon drops in the world can't settle the indigestion that Harry and his allies plan to give him! Why the audit alone might give him that well deserved stroke! I wish that he hadn't gotten his playmate back; but hopefully Snape will either have another up close and personal meeting with Harry's lightsaber or take up permanent residency in Azkaban. Voldy seems to have Snape's measure, though it's rather amusing to here him of all people telling Snape to give his attitude towards Harry a rest! Dear Abby he most certainly is not! I hope that Harry and the others check people like Kingsley for Dumbles little additions. Dumbles, like Voldy has plenty in common with Palpy...... it looks as though the Rule of Two is in action! Is Harry going to just casually mention to Dumbles that nothing happened to his relatives; or will he let Darth Manipulis make a fool of himself over the matter? It was also nice to see how Neville contributed to the planning! I loved the stuff that Dobby and Winky did when they got the sword....what are the chances that Dumbles brings it to the Wizengamot meeting to prove that he's the heir of Gryffindor and then ends up looking idiotic when Harry pulls out the real one? I also liked seeing the goblins in action again, and those junior goblins will probably wish they hadn't gotten the Dak's personal attention! As always you've posted a great chapter! :)Author's response
By the time Harry is done, no lemon drop in the world is gong to be enough to settle Ol' Twinkly's stomach.
Snape: I had to let him go...for now.
~~but hopefully Snape will either have another up close and personal meeting with Harry's lightsaber or take up permanent residency in Azkaban.~~
AWWW! You spoil my fun!
While not exactly my idea of Miss Lovelorn either, I feel Voldy is capable of learning. He hates Harry, yes, but he does see him as capable.
This doesn't mean he's not a psychotic asshole.
Kingsley. Amelia is going to deal with him, including a full magical and medical check-up. Things will come to light then. Remember, Amelia has her Protégé Connie Hammer, to help her. She doesn't need Shacklebolt.
Dursleys. Dumbley thinks they're dead. For the time being that will be enough. Vernon won't go without a fight and once he starts spouting off about magic and a wizard named 'Dumbledore' Albus will be reacquainted with the abusive ball of fat.
Dumbley is not using the force. He just lost his temper, though I did like Palpatine's saying "I AM the senate!" This arrogance will come in to play again, in several of the coming chapters.
Neville is, IMNSHO, the unsung hero. He has stood by Harry's side, throughout the series and yet get's no screen time. I'm making his a part of this because Harry needs someone he can depend upon at his back. He's been training all his life to take the Longbottom seat. despite Augusta's disdain, he had to have learned something from her.
Although a great idea, the sword is a non-issue. I suppose I can have it turn to a rubber chicken if he tries to pick it up, but once he sees HARRY POTTER on the blade, he's gonna know he's been got.
The goblins are professionals, so they do their jobs well. Graswold likes a good joke as much as the twins, and if the target is someone the goblins despise, so much the better. As for the nameless ones, they're just two privates. There's always some griping in the ranks.

If there wasn't griping in the ranks, the officers would be worried. I do like the idea of Harry and Neville complimenting each other's background and abilities; they can train each other, sharpening themselves in the process, and, in the meantime, it means that exceedingly few items will "slip through the cracks".
Oh, my comment about the insurance was a temporary confusion with another good fic out there, though I misremember which one at this point.Author's response
~If there wasn't griping in the ranks, the officers would be worried.~
But that's the fun part!
Harry and Neville will be good friends, and as I've indicated, Neville will be one of Harry's lieutenants.
Too many authors have Harry facing impossible odds alone, and through some 'Deus ex Machina', overcoming. It usually don't work that way. That's why I had Harry hire his support staff.
Each of the people I include will have a part to play, large or small, in the defeat of both dark lords.

Fine chapter. Maybe Harry should recruit Peeves, who could more effectively devil somebody than Peeves? Snape would be a good target as well. Thanks for writing. W.Author's response
Peeves will indeed play a part. He's going to help drive Dumbledore crazy.
As for Snape, he'll get his. Muahahah..Muahaha..MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
(Sorry.)

Great update, with a brilliantly written 'eccentric' Albus.Author's response
Thank you. I prefer 'darkly eccentric', if you don't mind.

I enjoyed this chapter, and all the others as well. You've done a really good job blending Star Wars into HP without things getting too muddied.
Dumbledore is really starting to shape up into an irredeemably evil bastard prick, even worse than Voldemort (at least Voldemort is honest about his evil status). I'm really looking forward to what happens to Snape in this story. I get the feel that either he's going to cross Harry (or one of his Jedi) and get himself lightsabered , or possibly force-lightinged, to death or he'll piss Voldemort off so badly he'll get himself killed ( it'd be really funny if Voldemort uses the 'You have failed me for the last time' line before execution.
And finally, I get the feeling Dumbledore's 'special' lemon drops are laced with some form of magical (or non-magical) narcotic, which would explain his near-obsession with them.Author's response
Thank you for the complement. It's hard not to slip of the highwire.
~(at least Voldemort is honest about his evil status)~
It's interesting you should use that particular turn of phrase. It's one I have used myself. The only real difference between Dumbledore and Voldemort, is that Voldemort is honest.
He's not going to be lightninged. Remember, Harry's knowledge all comes from Yoda. Yoda apparently considers the use of he raw force like that to be a technique of the Sith. Your other guesses are remarkably accurate though.
While that line won't be used on Snape, I might try to fit it in somewhere else.
Naah. While I've used that plot device before, in this case, it's just his lucky bag. Peeves will be swiping it at least once in the story.

I'm enjoying your story very much; looking forward to the next chapter.
A question: I noticed you referenced a story of yours entitled "Dirty Harry"; is it archived anywhere? I'd be interested in reading it.Author's response
I'm glad you're enjoying the show.
'Dirty Harry' is an as-yet unposted fic of mine, that I am liberally stealing from. I'm also going to steal some from another Jedi-Harry fic I'm writing called 'A Boy Named Harry'. That one will be posted when this one is done, (or maybe concurrently if y'all want.
I'm also thinking of reconsidering posting Fanfic.net. I started posting here because they had some rather draconic policies in place.
