People are toally whack i think they say it because the songs aren't about death and murder but honestly I think i would have been board with another album with a similar theme, some of the songs arent as heavy/punk influenced but that doesn't bother me because the music still sounds and is technically great and it's still meaningful so I don't see the problem. Why?

Also I've been a fan since late revenge so it's not just the opinion of someone that's recently discovered MCRAuthor's response
thankyou, its just that i really dont know why they dis dangerdays, it is amzing and i think they wanted to make a change because they would be probably sick of the same type of record. Why?

I've been a fan since The Black Parade, but I still like Danger Days. I don't know what everyone's problem is with it. I mean, they're still as epic as they were before! I mean they try something different and I think that's awesome. But I don't really care. As long as MCR still has fans, I'm happy. Why?

I have no idea! I've loved them since early Black Parade era and I think DD is amazing. It's just really weird. Why?

Why.. is a very good question..
I guess its coz some people dont like change..
its happened with loads of other bands too.. if they suddent change their style people decided they no longer like them
but at the end of the day they are still the same band.. they have just grown up and changed a bit, and thats what should happen! change is good.
Myself i have listen to MCR since about 2004! just when Cheers came out,
i like every album for different reason... some songs i cant stand but other I love this is the same across all 4 albums :)
They have progessed and thats good in my eyes anyway... you can see them grow and they still love what they are doing you can tell..
I kinda did my dissertation on them and how they have elvoled over the years!

prancing around in weird ass way too colorful uniforms...sure that is so selling out, because abviously that's what the populace wants rolls eyes
i've been a fan since january 2011 making me a 'been-a-fan-since-dangerdays' person (some people call you less of a fan for that..the fuck man, /the fuck?/) but my favorite album is three cheers. personally i like DD the least, but /still fucking love it/.
mcr just do what ever they feel like. they're all goddamn happy right now and i feel like DD reflects that. also a person changes over the years, fuck, even over days. mcr put their everything into their work. they are passionate about it and don't just want to make money. so in a way the music just displays different emotions they felt while creating. mcr are still the same, they still care and they still do exactly what we don't expect from them. so yeah...trying to get a point across and failing horribly. damn my rambling i forget what i want to say about halfway into the goddamn sentence ...xkWhy?

I totally agree!! I've been a fan since 2007 when I first heard teenagers and I completely agree with you! They're. It sellouts or anything like that! They just changed styles. Personally, I think it's great! They've inspired soooooo many people with 'SINGitforJapan' and just Sing itself. The Black Parade was driving them into the ground and if they were to do another album like TBP, they'd probably off themselves. I'm not trying to be rude or mean but I personally think that's the truth. Danger Days is a fantastic album and just think, without Gerard's hair changes, it wouldn't be so lively! :P just my thoughts on the matter.

It's not that I hate Danger Days or anything. I guess I just don't love it. I mean, I know they've changed genres like you guys keep saying, and all is means is that I don't necessarily like the change they've gone through. It's not that I hate the bright colors, or I hate My Chem and shit (I think the Na Na Na video IS AWESOME). I actually adore the killjoy idea. I just - don't want listen to the music on the album. Doesn't speak to me, it's only noise and nothing there really stuck out to me (other than Na Na Na, I fucking love that song). But the rest... eh. I'm sorry, it's only my opinion, and I know how much the songs there speak to you guys. I still love MCR to bits though, even if I don't like the new album. So... Yeah. That's what I think.
K, thnx, bye!

In order to be a fan of a band, you don't have to like all the albums or all the music. I believe you have to like a majority of it, but not all of it. I personally like the concept of it, but I prefer it had stayed a comic. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike the WHOLE album, but I honestly only like Kids From Yesterday and Destroya. So...and they "SELL OUT" shows, even if they might be considered a "sell out" band. All bands that make it big have to go through that label. It's something you push past. Take Green Day for example--they pushed past that label and have now changed the music world and left their footprints on it forever. MCR did the same thing with the Success of The Black Parade.
So, whether people like the album or not and are calling the band "sell outs" because of it is going to happen regardless. It's a title that comes with success, and opinions come with it too. I prefer their more hardcore/punk stuff, but I can appreciate DD for what it is.Why?
