Well, seems to be a common theme occurring here, many of us are 'glad you're back!' Regarding the story, love the direction you went with, something I haven't seen anywhere else. I'm saddened that you've only planned for three chapters but I'll take what I can get. Please update soon and keep writing. The Face in the Pool

This is both interesting and original. I look forward to more of this story. I am curious to know who he ends up with, if the Weasley's will leave him as friends. I say adios Ron and Ginny. Keep up the good work.

The short length (three chapters) is not all that surprising given that we're supplied with an incarnation of SuperHarry right from the beginning. Seems to me it will be more about how Harry's various relationships would have changed had he asserted himself early on, not at all a bad starting point for a tale.
That's one of the things that drove me crazy with canon. Harry starts out with greater than average powers; accidentally Apparating as a child, facing down Quirrel as an ickle Firstie, defeating a Basilisk and rescuing Ginny second year, conjuring a Patronus and chasing off over a hundred Dementors as a third year for Chrissake! And then throwing off both Crouch's and Voldemort's Imperious, and duelling Voldemort wand-to-wand and winning! (Even with the limitations of brother wands, forcing the spell back into Voldemort's wand has to count as a win on the pure power conflict!)
And then after fourth year it all starts to dribble away, to the point that by seventh year he's a weak, virtually squib-like dweeb who can't stop making stupid mistakes and has to slavishly follow Dumbledore's plans even after the geezer's dead, and is so brain-dead he saddles one of his poor kids with the name Albus Severus. Is he trying to create the next dark lord?
Anyway, hopefully this newly awakened and empowered Harry will grab the bull by the horns (and the babes by their robes) and get out from under the thumbs of meddling heamasters and the sights of psychotic Dork Lards.
Perhaps the three of them could run off to Acapulco or Cabo San Lucas afterwards; Harry could go as the Dark Lord Valdez, with Hermione and Luna wearing t-shirts that read "There Can Be Only Juan"....The Face in the Pool

Nice to see your return. Really like the way you set this up, definitely gives Harry a fighting chance, tweaks Dumbledore's and the Order's noses and also seems to be altering the relationships of the Ministry Six as well. Looking forward to the next chapter to see what comes of the discussions in the RoR. Hope we also get to see some of the fallout of this night on the Wizarding world as well. The Face in the Pool

Joining the chorus and saying, welcome back.
Like the story so far. Ginny's reactions - perfectly understandable. Like Ron's realizations. But then he goes to bed, hoping for more food. He's going to squander his thinking.
Looking forward to more. Thanks for the story!

For some reason, the system shoots me to the homepage if I try and answer specific reviews. Let's see if this works.
1) remember, this is just a little 3 chapter thought piece, not an epic. At least for now, I am 'epiced' out. I've spent the last 7 months writing and editing a monograph, and didn't have time to finish the last one, but the epilogue will be out soon, at least on this site. since it's been so long, it will likely disappoint, but sorry, real life work needed to be done
2) Like many fans (although certainly not all, or maybe even most), the last 3 books left me going 'What the F. . . .' Those do not seem reasonable developments for Harry, Ginny, or Hermione. Ron, maybe.... She does do a nice job on Neville and Luna. IMO, Rowling knew where she wanted the ships to end, so she just shoved the couples together without developing the relationships. If you like what she did, great. I don't. If you like how she turned Harry into a brave but stupid near-wimp (see the review of this chapter by Fenriswolf -- I totally agree), great, I don't. Fan fic is for developing ideas or filling in holes we don't like. I've always fallen into the latter group.
3) to answer one specific question, Harry could beat the DE's because a) he has the power of his fourth year, not the near-squib power of book 7, and b) because he retained the skills he should have learned as chief auror (which Rowling claims he became in her interviews). The two should allow him to take the DE's and even volde by surprise and whoop them without being 'super-Harry'. I grant you, the Harry of the 'final dual' couldn't have done that even with the elder wand, but the Harry of book 4 should have been able to develop into this Harry easily.
