Hi there,
I got this weird update regarding Jedipotter today, June 25, 2012, but I can't see or access any new chapthers. Could you reply to my profile with any news about this awesome story. Are you rewriting portions of it? Expanding it? Writing a sequel?
Author's response
Sorry, DnG
I made a promise to correct an error in credits in chapter 36. Robst wrote ‘Can’t Have It Both Ways’, Not Seel’vor, although they are two of my favorite authors. I thought when a story was done, no new alerts would be sent out. My bad.

This is without a doubt one of the hardest to read chapters of a HP story I've ever read.
Not because of the style of writing, which is solid.
Rather it is the content. The mental picture that is created by this chapter has me cringing. Imho I have an excellent imagination which unfortunately easily comes to bear in this chapter.
It is only knowing that Harry will return in future chapters that allowed me to finish reading this, one time.
I say once, has I have read this story more then once. I have it on my computer and, from time to time I find myself coming back to reread it.
But every time I do, I end up just skimming the first chapter for a bit then jumping right to chapter 2.
It hurts too much to 'relive' the 'death' of Harry Potter, a fictional character. It is too vivid to read more then the one time.
Very well done.Author's response
Hello, Taxzombie,
I must say thank you. Such a visceral reaction tells me that I’ve been doing something right. I wrote Harry’s death intentionally, both to grab the reader’s interest, and because I knew where the abuse could lead. As I indicated in my author’s notes, I lived that kind of abuse, and I had to face more than a few personal demons when I wrote the damage done to our hero. Believe me, it was as difficult for me to write as it was for you to read.
Don’t be too worried about skimming over the painful parts, there are a lot of things I prefer not to watch on the movies my daughter likes, simply because I’ve lived through many of them.
While Harry is a fictional character, he is also the embodiment of each of us. I think that’s why there are so very many excellent fan-authors in the world. Each of us sees something of ourselves in Harry and each wants to let it out.
That you have taken the time to transfer this story to your flies is also a complement of the greatest sort. I feel a story worth reading is worth reading again. That’s why I have as many books as I do. (over 4000 at last count) Over my lifetime, I’ve read all of them at least twice, many of them, a dozen times or more.
Thank you for your kind words.

“Anyway!” Tonks growled. "Let's keep talking about pointless things and making jokes for another hour instead of getting Harry to a healer."

Well hell, this started dark and then went black.
Dumblemort is scary evil, it begs many questions as to how he became so. Not that it matters, that (or anything else you spent a chapter world-building) seems like a lot of wasted words. Given the Xover, I'm assuming that that was the end of any HP world interaction... including Hermione.
So it seems likely to be H/Hr only in the loosest possible of terms (death note confession of love is not a relationship, they never even got to look into one another's eyes!). It seems odd that you'd bother putting a pairing for a paltry few sentences of non-mutually exchanged confessed feelings.
Due to my disgust at the above, I'll withhold rating the story until he settles into his new world.
Hopefully, Harry can find love in the SWG, it is obvious that he was never shown any in this one.JEDI POTTER

Ok, I totally misunderstood this story. Yes, your tagline mentioned the Weasleys and dumble bashing, but that was accomplished quite well in Ch. 1. Then, there's the simple fact that I've never read a "Crossover" fic that STAYED IN THE HP WORLD.
So, please forgive me for assuming that yours did something so alien and unique. I'm rather intrigued!
That said, I'll rescind my original review of Chapter 1.
I'll toss in some griping about the ridiculous way everyone wasted time as Harry died in front of them, and reiterate the obvious: This world is fubar.
Where are they going to hide from two dark lords who are willing to mentally manipulate or outright kill any that get in their way?
You have setup a world that has one 'good' authority figure (Hammer), and if (when) she dies, their fooked for any sort of 'official' help.
Welp, back to chapter 2, to see how Harry gets 'the Force'.
Oh, before I forget, I really liked the idea of what you did with Luna and I'm looking forward to seeing how you play that - and the twins - in the future :)
